New Ferris IS^® 2600Z Offers Commercial Cutters a Diesel Option

MILWAUKEE (October 21, 2015) – Touting a Yanmar™ 24 gross horsepower1, 904 cc diesel engine, the new Ferris IS^®2600Z delivers higher efficiency and unrivaled performance. With a ground speed of up to 10 mph, the IS 2600Z can mow up to five acres of grass per hour2.

The IS 2600Z also features Ferris’ patented mower suspension system. Precision engineered, this cutting-edge system features rear-coil over shocks and front independent shocks, allowing each wheel to move up and down independently. The results: heightened efficiency for a beautiful lawn every time, even on the most uneven of landscape environments.

And with the IS 2600Z zero turn mower, that’s just the first in a lineup of advanced features all designed to help today’s landscape professional get the job done easier, faster and better.

At the helm of this commercial mower are newly designed ergonomic forward and reverse levers that feature pillow block bearings on the control mounts for longer life. When combining mowing speed and control with commercial fan-cooled Hydro-Gear^® ZT-4400™ transaxles with 8.3” cooling fans, the result is a mower that can handle even the most challenging of terrains.

With an iCD™ Cutting System and professional striping kit onboard, the IS 2600Z delivers a consistent, high-quality cut guaranteed to impress. The unit comes with a 61” mower deck equipped with long-life greaseable cast-iron spindles.

The IS 2600Z features a newly designed operator compartment that is at the height of comfort. By moving the battery from the front of the machine to underneath the seat, there is a greater amount of legroom for the user. Plus, there is a new mid-back seat with enhanced cushioning for greater comfort.

Rounding out the impressive list of features is an easily accessible engine compartment; larger 24” drive tires for a smooth ride, a generous 11-gallon fuel tank and a removable floor pan for quick, easy access.

The IS 2600Z includes the Ferris 2+2 Year Limited Warranty3 which covers the unit for four years (48 months) or 500 hours, whichever occurs first. During the first two years (24 months), the mower is covered for unlimited hours. (Belts, tires, brake pads, battery and blades are covered for 90 days.) In addition, coil-over-shocks and all suspension-related components are covered for four years (48 months), unlimited hours3.
