The links between Ferris and racing run deep. The Ferris patented suspension system is inspired by stock-car racing. That, along with both Halmar Friesen Racing’s and Ferris’ strong ties to central New York, makes the partnership a perfect match.
Stewart Friesen is a three-time winner in the Craftsman Truck Series and earned his most recent victory in May 2022 at Texas Motor Speedway. For the 2022 season, Friesen finished sixth in the overall year-end standings.

Partnership Honors Late Bill Shea
The new sponsorship is dedicated to the late Bill Shea, who was an integral part of making the partnership a reality. Shea, who was a long-time Northeast Modified racing supporter and track owner, was a Ferris executive up until his passing in fall of 2022.
“This fit with Stewart and the HFR team could not be better. It is all about our roots. They come from racing, the suspension on our units was designed because of racing. This partnership absolutely makes sense.” - Christin Wam, Sr Director of Marketing, Briggs & Stratton
