Ferris® Introduces New Fleet Series Fixed-Frame Zero Turn Mowers

MILWAUKEE (October 21, 2015) – Ferris® is unveiling its new line-up of fixed-frame zero turn mowers at GIE+EXPO 2015. The three models make up the new Ferris Fleet Series, hardworking, non-suspension zero turns designed for the professional who wants value without sacrificing performance.

The compact, mid-frame Ferris F160Z touts an impressive combination of features and premium components. It features three powerful, fuel efficient engine options: a Briggs & Stratton (NYSE: BGG) 26 gross horsepower1Vanguard™ 810cc engine; a Briggs & Stratton 28 gross horsepower1 Vanguard™ 810cc EFI engine; or a 23.5 gross horsepower2 Kawasaki® FX730V engine. It is equipped with commercial-grade Hydro-Gear® ZT-4400™ transaxles with 8.3” dual cooling fans and an iCD™ cutting system available in 48” and 52” cutting widths. The Ferris F160Z has a forward ground speed up to 10 mph.

The mid-frame Ferris F210Z offers users a 28 gross horsepower1 Briggs & Stratton Vanguard™ 810 EFI engine or a 25.5 gross horsepower2 Kawasaki® FX801V engine; dual, commercial-grade Hydro-Gear® ZT-5400 Powertrain®transaxles with 9” cooling fans; and a 61” iCD™ cutting system with professional striping kit. The Ferris F210Z has a forward ground speed up to 10 mph.

The Ferris F320Z makes tackling large acreage jobs a non-issue with either 37-gross horsepower1 Briggs & Stratton Vanguard™ BIG BLOCK™ EFI engine or a 35-gross horsepower2 Kawasaki® FX1000V engine. These engine choices are matched with dual, commercial-grade Hydro-Gear® ZT-5400 Powertrain® transaxles with 9” cooling fans and an iCD™ cutting system in either 61” or 72” cutting widths, allowing the F320Z to handle even the most grueling conditions. It has a forward ground speed of up to 12 mph.

All three models feature an easy-to-use foot-operated deck lift, a removable floor pan for easy deck access, cast-iron greaseable spindles for lasting performance (F320Z offers the Hercules™ II spindles), large drive tires for enhanced traction, flat-free front caster tires, and dual 11-gallon fuel tanks.

In terms of operator comfort, the F160Z and F210Z models come with a mid-back suspension seat with enhanced bolstering and ergonomically designed armrests. The F320Z offers a high-back suspension seat with lumbar support and back recline features. Both seats are adjustable to the operator’s height and weight for a custom-like fit.

All three Fleet Series models include the Ferris 2+2 Year Limited Warranty3 which covers the unit for four years (48 months) or 500 hours, whichever occurs first. During the first two years (24 months), the mower is covered for unlimited hours. (Belts, tires, brake pads, battery and blades are covered for 90 days.) In addition, coil-over-shocks and all suspension-related components are covered for four years (48 months), unlimited hours3.
